NEW VENUE: Still Water Retreat joins the NOWCA network!

We are proud to welcome another venue to our network of 40+ safe open water locations.

Open water swimming enthusiasts now have a new destination to explore with the launch of Still Water Retreat, a tranquil lakeside venue near Woore offering safe, accessible and wellbeing focused swimming experiences.

Located at Woore Fruit Farm on Newcastle Road, the retreat combines the restorative qualities of natural water swimming with carefully managed facilities designed to support both experienced swimmers and those taking their first open water strokes.

At the heart of Still Water Retreat is its natural spring-fed lake, providing swimmers with a refreshing and immersive connection to nature. The venue has joined the NOWCA network to ensure swimmers benefit from recognised safety standards, including digital check-in, swim tracking and comprehensive water safety management.

Still Water Retreat has been designed as more than just a swimming venue. Visitors can complement their swim with a wood-fired sauna, paddleboarding and SUP yoga sessions, creating a holistic wellness destination where movement, relaxation and the natural world come together.

“We wanted to create a peaceful haven where people can reconnect with themselves and the natural world,” said the team behind Still Water Retreat. “Whether you’re training for an event, trying open water swimming for the first time, or simply looking for a place to unwind, our aim is to provide a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone.”

Following a successful open day that introduced the retreat to the local community, Still Water Retreat is now open and welcoming swimmers throughout the season.

Safety is top priority at this venue. All sessions will be fully lifeguarded, giving swimmers confidence and reassurance every time they enter the water, whether they are new to open water or regular, year-round swimmers.

Facilities at the venue include free onsite parking, toilets and changing rooms, along with an onsite café serving hot and cold drinks and delicious food.
