What is the NOWCA Summer Club?

NOWCA Summer Club is an exciting distance challenge that runs from 1 July until 30 September 2026.

You are challenged to swim the distance of some of the most amazing locations by the last day of the programme.

This year, we launch our Summer Club with the LAC LÉMAN – also known as Lake Geneva in Switzerland.

You will choose your challenge:

  • 5km
  • 20km
  • 45km
  • 70km

You may participate in one, two, three or all four distances – it’s your choice. You don’t need to start at 5km – but you will need to if you aim to collect all four medals!

Joining the Summer Club means you get to take part in swimming the distance of Lac Léman, but at your local venue over 3 months.

Test your endurance and swim a distance you never thought possible!

How do I join?

You must sign up for your chosen distance by 31 August 2026.

All swim distances are counted from 1 July until 30 September 2026 regardless of the date you signed up – ie. if you sign up in August, your swim distance will be backdated and counted from 1 July.

To join, simply log into the ACTiO booking app and search for NOWCA SUMMER CLUB.

Then you can select and pay for the distances you wish to participate in.

Each distance costs £10 each and you will receive a medal when you successfully reach the distance milestone.

The distance is based on total cumulative distance – and you are not required to start each milestone from scratch each time.

For example: When you complete the 5km distance, you only need to swim another 15km to reach your 20km milestone – not 5km + 20km.

MOST EXCITINGLY, when you enter all four distances, you get the chance to collect the full set of medals – which when placed side by side, gives you the complete picture of this year’s Summer Club image.

Participating Venues

The Summer Club is based on your cumulative swim distance at any and all venues that are part of the NOWCA venue network – we work with over 40 stunning venues throughout the UK!

You must be able to tap-in and tap-out of our swim safety system – and ensure your swim distance is recorded for it to count toward your milestone.

Our Summer Club medals follows your journey and celebrates each of your milestones. Medals will be sent out at the end of the programme.
